Therapy sessions are facilitated via HIPPA compliant platforms, Simple Practice & Remote EMDR. Virtual therapy provides greater access and scheduling flexibility for clients with busy lives and demanding schedules. In person visits may be considered in special circumstances and by exclusive advance arrangement with therapist.

I do not accept insurance.

I am an out of network provider for insurance plans that extend out of network benefits to their members. I provide invoices that allow you to seek reimbursement directly from your insurance carrier. It is your responsibility to understand your insurance plan and benefits. Therapy sessions are also reimbursable through your Flexible Health Savings Plans. See your plan for details.

Appointments should be cancelled with 24 hours advance notice to avoid being charged the full session fee. When I have availability I can offer an alternative meeting time for the same week avoiding the fee.

Predicting the length and course of therapy is often imprecise. Deciding to conclude a therapy is ideally a mutual process between therapist and patient. Therapy should be concluded when presenting symptoms have resolved, functioning is restored or bolstered and emotional balance is stable. In our work together we will routinely take time to mutually assess how things are going and if there is remaining work to focus on.

What should I consider with my devices in attending my therapy appointment?2023-11-02T21:03:21+00:00

I recommend attending from a Chrome Browser. It’s helpful if you shut down any programs running in the background and be sure your devices are charged or plugged in for the therapy session.

Do I need any special preparation for my sessions?2023-11-02T20:53:49+00:00

I encourage you to make space and time for your therapy session. Pick a location that is comfortable and private enough for you. It also helps to think of your other comfort needs ahead time such as room temperature, lighting for video session, water, and tissues.
